Smart Energy Healing is home to two distinct practices with a shared belief that care begins with understanding the person in front of us. Dr. Ryan Smart works primarily with the body—helping people experiencing pain, changes in movement or function, injury, or performance concerns. Tracy Smart works through self-discovery life coaching—helping people explore the patterns, beliefs, roles, and expectations shaping how they experience their lives.
Start with what you're experiencing. If your primary concern is physical—something hurts, your movement has changed, you're recovering from an injury, or your body isn't functioning or performing the way you'd like—Dr. Smart may be the place to begin.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, or noticing patterns in your life you want to better understand, Tracy's self-discovery coaching may be a better fit.
Not sure? You don't have to figure it out before contacting us. We're happy to help you find a starting point.
No. Many people come to us because they know something doesn't feel right but aren't sure why or what they need. You don't need a diagnosis, an explanation, or a plan before you begin. Your first step is simply sharing what you're experiencing and what you'd like help with.
Choose the practitioner or service that feels like the best starting point and schedule online. If you're interested in working with Tracy but aren't sure whether life coaching is right for you, you can begin with a complimentary 20-minute consultation.

People come to Dr. Smart for many different reasons. Some are experiencing pain, stiffness, headaches, or an injury. Others notice that something keeps returning, their movement has changed, or their body simply isn't functioning or performing the way they want it to.
Dr. Smart's approach begins by looking beyond where you feel the problem to better understand how your body is moving and functioning as a whole.
Your first visit begins with understanding what brought you in, your health history, what you're experiencing, and what you'd like to be able to do differently.
Dr. Smart then performs an examination based on your individual concerns. This may include evaluation of movement, range of motion, areas of restriction or tenderness, orthopedic or neurological testing, and other findings that help him understand how your body is functioning.
From there, he'll talk with you about what he finds and what he recommends as a next step.
Dr. Smart has spent years developing a broad set of tools and approaches that allow him to adapt care to the person in front of him. Depending on your needs, his care may include chiropractic adjusting, Zone Technique, Y-strap, Applied Kinesiology, soft-tissue or fascial work, exercise and movement guidance, or other approaches.
He also offers Neurological Integration System (NIS) sessions when a more extensive neurological approach is appropriate.
Not every person receives the same care or needs every approach. The tools Dr. Smart uses depend on what you're experiencing, what he finds during your evaluation, and the purpose of the visit.
The Neurological Integration System (NIS) is a separate approach Dr. Smart may use when he wants to evaluate the relationship between different areas and functions of the body through a neurological framework.
An NIS session is longer and more extensive than a standard chiropractic visit and may involve assessment of multiple systems rather than focusing primarily on structural movement and chiropractic care.
Because NIS is offered as a distinct service, scheduling and payment differ from a standard chiropractic appointment.
No. Pain is one reason people seek chiropractic care, but it isn't the only way your body tells you something has changed.
Some people notice stiffness, restricted movement, changes in strength or coordination, difficulty doing an activity they normally enjoy, or simply that their body isn't moving or functioning the way it usually does.
Dr. Smart evaluates function as well as symptoms, helping you better understand what your body is doing rather than relying on pain alone as the measure of how you're doing.
Yes. Dr. Smart sees people at many different ages and stages of life. How he evaluates and works with someone is adapted to the individual rather than using the same approach with everyone.
If you're wondering whether scheduling with Dr. Smart makes sense for you or your child, you're welcome to start with a free phone consultation.
Your care plan is based on what Dr. Smart finds during your evaluation, the concerns that brought you in, and what you want to be able to do.
Together, you and Dr. Smart will discuss your goals, his findings, the type of care he recommends, and what that care may look like—including the frequency and duration of care when appropriate.
Some concerns may require only a few visits, while others may benefit from a more structured treatment or performance plan.
Not necessarily. The amount and frequency of care Dr. Smart recommends depends on what he finds, what you're experiencing, and what you're hoping to accomplish.
You and Dr. Smart will discuss those findings and agree on a treatment plan that makes sense for your goals. Depending on your needs, that may be a short period of care or a more structured treatment or performance plan.
Your progress is reassessed along the way, and the plan can change as your needs change.
Glow & Go is our red and near-infrared light therapy service. It offers a simple, non-invasive way to incorporate photobiomodulation into your wellness, recovery, or cosmetic routine.
You do not need to be a chiropractic patient or coaching client to use Glow & Go, and no consultation is required.
Glow & Go offers two different red light experiences depending on what you want to support.
MitoIgnite — 10 MinutesThink of MitoIgnite as a quick recharge for your body. Red and near-infrared light reach your tissues, where the light is absorbed by cells and can influence cellular energy production.
People choose MitoIgnite as part of their routine when they want to support things like:
-recovery after exercise or a physically demanding day
-muscle and joint comforthealthy circulation
-cellular energy and functionskin health
-general wellness and feeling restored
At just 10 minutes, it's easy to use before or after a workout, between appointments, or simply as part of taking care of your body.
Glow & Go Cellulite — 20 Minutes
This longer session is for someone looking at their skin and thinking, “I'd like this to look smoother, firmer, and more toned.”
The extended red-light session is designed to support the skin and underlying tissue while targeting areas where cellulite, looseness, or uneven texture are noticeable. The goal is to support a smoother, tighter-looking appearance and improved body contours without an invasive procedure.
You can focus on areas such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, buttocks, or other places where you'd like to improve the appearance and texture of your skin.
Glow & Go is designed to be simple and private. You'll be shown how to use the equipment and then have the room to yourself for your red and near-infrared light session.
Light works best when it can reach your skin directly, so you'll uncover the areas you'd like exposed while remaining completely in control of your comfort and how much of your body you choose to expose.
When your light session is complete, you'll get dressed and finish with 10 minutes of whole-body vibration therapy.
Why vibration? Research into light-based body contouring has found that certain wavelengths of low-level light can cause stored lipids to be released from fat cells into the surrounding tissue, and research has also studied light and vibration together for body-contouring applications.
The vibration plate provides gentle whole-body movement and repeated muscle contractions, making it a natural active finish to your light session while supporting movement and circulation.
After those 10 minutes, you're finished and ready to continue with your day.
Red light therapy works well as something you can incorporate regularly rather than something you need to reserve for when something is wrong.
How often you use it depends on what you're hoping to support. Some people add MitoIgnite to their regular wellness, exercise, or recovery routine, while those working toward changes in skin texture, firmness, cellulite, or body contours may choose a more consistent series of the longer sessions, Cellulite Edition.
Your sessions can be scheduled around your goals and lifestyle—there's no consultation required before getting started.
No. Glow & Go is available as a stand-alone service.
You don't need to receive chiropractic care from Dr. Smart, work with Tracy, have a referral, or schedule a consultation first.
Simply decide what you're looking for:
MitoIgnite if you want a quick red and near-infrared light session to support wellness, cellular energy, circulation, and recovery.
Cellulite Edition if your focus is the appearance of cellulite, skin texture, firmness, and body contours. Then choose your session and schedule a time that works for you.

We don't begin with a technique. We begin with you. What you're experiencing matters, but so does the larger picture of how your body is functioning or how you're experiencing your life.
Dr. Smart and Tracy work in very different ways, but both begin by understanding what's happening for the person in front of them rather than assuming everyone needs the same answer.
Where you notice a problem isn't always the only place worth looking. With Dr. Smart, pain or difficulty moving may lead him to evaluate how other areas of your body are functioning and interacting.
With Tracy, feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected may lead to exploring the patterns, beliefs, roles, or expectations underneath what you're experiencing.
In either case, the purpose is the same: to understand more before deciding what comes next.
No. Two people can arrive with similar concerns and need very different things.
Dr. Smart chooses how to approach your care based on what you're experiencing, what he finds during your evaluation, and what you're trying to accomplish.
Tracy's explorations develop from what you're experiencing and discovering rather than following a predetermined path toward a particular answer.
Your experience helps shape the work.
Absolutely, but you don't have to.You may come solely for chiropractic care, work only with Tracy, use Glow & Go as part of your wellness routine, or choose different services at different times.
There isn't a prescribed path through Smart Energy Healing. You choose what supports you and what you want to explore.
Dr. Smart and Tracy have distinct areas of practice. Seeing one does not automatically mean the other becomes involved in your care.
There may be times when one suggests that another service at Smart Energy Healing could be worth considering, but the decision is always yours. When appropriate and with your permission, they may communicate about your care, but each remains within their own area of practice.
Self-discovery life coaching is a space to explore yourself more deeply—not to be told how to live your life.
Tracy uses questions, reflection, and conversation to help you recognize the patterns, beliefs, roles, expectations, and experiences that may be shaping how you see yourself and your life. The purpose isn't to give you another set of answers to follow, but to help you see more clearly so you can discover what feels true for you.
You don't need a specific problem or goal to begin. You might feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, uncertain about a decision, caught in a recurring pattern, or simply curious about why you respond to certain parts of your life the way you do.
People may explore relationships, boundaries, people-pleasing, control, expectations, identity, purpose, belonging, self-trust, emotional patterns, life transitions, or the feeling that something in their life no longer fits.
You bring what you're experiencing. Together, we explore what may be underneath it.
No. Life coaching and psychotherapy serve different purposes.
Tracy's work focuses on self-discovery, reflection, personal growth, and helping you explore how you're experiencing and participating in your life. It is not mental health treatment and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions.
Coaching can exist alongside therapy, but it isn't a replacement for care from a licensed mental health professional when that type of support is needed.
Not at all. Human Design is one of the frameworks Tracy may use to offer another perspective for self-exploration, but you don't need to know anything about it—or adopt it as a belief system—to work with her.
Your own experience remains the most important part of the exploration. A framework can offer something to consider, but you get to decide what is meaningful or useful to you.
You don't have to know before you meet.
If you're curious about the work, Tracy offers a complimentary 20-minute consultation where you can share what you're experiencing, ask questions, and get a sense of what exploring together might look like.
There is no expectation that you arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on. Sometimes knowing that you'd like to understand yourself or your experience differently is enough of a place to begin.

Yes. If you're seeing Dr. Smart or Tracy for the first time, you'll receive forms to complete before your appointment.
Your forms help us understand what brings you in, what you're currently experiencing, and information that may be important to the work you'll be doing. Completing them ahead of time also allows your appointment to begin with you and the reason you're here, rather than paperwork.
Some appointment types, such as auto-accident examinations, require additional information and specific deadlines. Those instructions will be provided when you schedule.
Glow & Go does not require a new-patient consultation, although you may be asked to complete basic consent or service forms before your first session.
Costs vary depending on the practitioner and service you choose.
Current self-pay prices are shown in our online scheduling system, so you can see the cost of an appointment before you book. If you're using insurance for eligible chiropractic services, your responsibility may vary based on your individual benefits and the services provided.
If you're unsure which appointment you need or what it will cost, contact us before scheduling and we'll help you understand your options.
Bring anything that may be helpful in understanding what you’re experiencing, including relevant imaging, reports, or other health information you would like Dr. Smart to review.
If you’re expecting to use insurance for eligible chiropractic care, bring your current insurance card and photo ID. Insurance coverage varies and not all services we offer at Smart Energy Healing are covered under your Insurance Plan.
Most importantly, bring your questions. You don’t need to arrive already knowing what’s wrong or what kind of care you need.
Wear something you can move comfortably in.
For chiropractic visits, comfortable clothing makes it easier for Dr. Smart to evaluate movement and work with your body. Athletic or everyday clothing that allows you to bend and move is usually a good choice.
For Glow & Go, you’ll have privacy to uncover the areas you want exposed to the light and can get dressed again afterward.
Don’t worry. You aren’t expected to know our scheduling system as well as we do.
If you’re unsure what to choose, contact us before scheduling and we’ll help you find the appropriate appointment.
If you’ve already scheduled and we notice that another appointment type would better fit what you’re looking for, we’ll let you know and help you make the change.

We understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that time can be made available to someone else.
When a new-patient appointment is booked online, a $40 booking fee is required to reserve your appointment time. When you arrive for your scheduled visit, the $40 will be applied toward the cost of your appointment.
New-patient appointments are longer and reserve a larger portion of our schedule specifically for you. For that reason, the $40 booking fee is non-refundable.
If you need to reschedule and provide at least 48 hours' notice, your $40 booking fee will transfer to your new appointment time.
Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice will result in the booking fee being forfeited, and a new booking fee will be required to reserve another new-patient appointment.
If you’ve completed all of your required forms ahead of time, there’s no need to arrive significantly early.
Please plan to arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment so you have time to get settled and we can begin your visit on time.
If your forms have not been completed, please complete them before coming to the office rather than planning to fill them out when you arrive. This helps us review your information ahead of time and allows your scheduled appointment to be focused on you—not paperwork.
Payment for services provided at Smart Energy Healing is due on the day the service is provided, unless payment arrangements have been made with our office before services are rendered.
For chiropractic services billed to insurance, this includes any estimated copay, deductible, or coinsurance due at the time of your visit.
We do our best to verify your benefits and estimate your portion as accurately as possible. However, benefit information provided before a claim is processed is an estimate—not a guarantee of payment. Your insurance plan makes the final determination of what services are covered and what amount is your responsibility.
If your insurance processes the claim differently than anticipated, any remaining patient balance will be your responsibility.
For services that are not billed to insurance, payment is due in full at the time of service unless prior payment arrangements have been made.
